As we step into the month of March, our church is excited to highlight the Ghana Mission as our mission of focus. This mission is dedicated to spreading the love and teachings of Jesus Christ through various impactful projects in Ghana, Africa. We invite you to join us in supporting this mission through prayer and financial contributions.
Capital Building Projects
When the mission plants churches in new regions, it does so on faith. A new church plant typically starts with a tent-like structure and some plastic outdoor seating. As the church grows, construction begins on a conventional basis with concrete flooring, then a permanent roof, and finally walls and windows. This piecemeal construction is normal in Ghana, and the mission has many churches at various stages of completion. This is a constant need for the churches there.
The School
Thanks to some upgrades facilitated by the CMBC and the ACCF, the mission school now has a good reputation in the community, and its students have been testing well on national exams. The school offers a Christian-based education to children in the surrounding community, including many church families. Your support can help maintain and improve the quality of education provided.
The Health Clinic/Hospital
The clinic does a lot of good work serving the community by providing a range of healthcare services. However, the government is often delinquent in reimbursing the clinic for services, so they typically find themselves in a cash-poor situation. They often have a difficult time keeping their shelves stocked with drugs and other supplies they need. Their medical equipment is often quite old, and they have significant needs for newer equipment. One big-ticket item on their “wish list” is an ambulance to pick up people in the community who don’t have transportation to the clinic.
